Award Ceremony for Students and Teachers

On Friday, June 28, 2024, our school held a formal Teachers' Council meeting, traditionally attended by the Student of the Year. This year, the title was awarded to Jana Vuković, a student of class VIII/1. On this occasion, Jana officially addressed all the teachers and shared her reflections on her eight-year journey at "Desanka." The Teachers' Council congratulated her with a loud applause, and the school principal presented her with appropriate awards on behalf of the staff.

After the Council meeting, an award ceremony was held in the school hall for all the students who won first, second, or third place at city and national level competitions, as well as the pride of the generation, athlete of the generation, and recipients of Vuk's diplomas. The program began with the school choir, followed by the principal's address to all present. Then, there was a dance performance by younger students, after which the principal personally presented a book to each student as a token of appreciation for their hard work and success.

As this year has been extremely successful and the school can proudly boast a long list of awarded students, although they did not receive awards on this occasion, the school has prepared awards for those who excelled at municipal level competitions and all students who participated in the celebration of the school's anniversary. Their awards were later presented by their homeroom and class teachers, and they were all called to the front to receive another round of applause from the audience.

Since the success of students always reflects the dedication and sacrifice of teachers, the principal similarly awarded all colleagues who achieved results in competitions and participated in the organization and realization of the 60th anniversary celebration of the school.

In conclusion, the ceremony ended with a small refreshment and snack, where parents, students, and teachers continued to chat and exchange impressions.

Let us remind you, the Student of the Year for the 2023/24 school year is Jana Vuković (VIII/1), the Рride of the generation is Ema Mačar (VIII/4), the Аthlete of the generation is Dijana Živojinović (VIII/1), and the recipients of Vuk's diplomas, along with Jana Vuković and Ema Mačar, are: Vanja Filipović (VIII/2), Đurđija Marić (VIII/2), and Veljko Zečević (VIII/3).
