As part of the collaboration between the school as an educational institution and the healthcare system, based on the recommendation of the Ministry of Education and the Institute of Public Health of Serbia 'Dr. Milan Jovanović Batut,' on Monday, the 11th of December, our school's chosen pediatrician, Dr. Radmila Đukić, delivered a lecture on the importance of HPV vaccination. The vaccine is intended to prevent diseases caused by the human papillomavirus, primarily cervical cancer. The lecture was aimed at interested parents of sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade students. The doctor presented to parents the importance of vaccination, its positive effects, mode of action, and dosage. In the final part of the lecture, parents had the opportunity to ask questions related to the vaccination itself, as well as the healthcare of school children in general.
