On June 11, 2024, the second-grade students went towards the Braničevo District, visiting the Golubac Fortress, Silver Lake, and Viminacium.
At the Golubac Fortress, they had the opportunity to hear from a local guide about the history of this medieval fortification. They also watched a short documentary film about the fortress. Afterward, they headed to Silver Lake, where they had lunch followed by free time for walking along the lake, buying souvenirs, and engaging in games and recreation on the sports field. In Viminacium, under the expert guidance of a local guide, they toured the archaeological site. There, the remains of the mammoth Vika particularly captured their attention.
During this excursion, the students showed great interest in everything they saw, expanding their horizons with a new experience, which they later recounted to their parents at home, as well as to their friends at school and in the neighborhood.
