The day of Saint Sava, our school's patron saint, was celebrated this year with a series of appropriate activities. The halls of our school were adorned with brilliant and carefully prepared works by students from various grades. This year's hosts of the celebration were Mr. Bojan Martinović, his wife Violeta, and their children Dmitar and Vasilija Martinović.
With the presence of guests from the Ministry of Education, the Municipality of Zvezdara, colleagues, parents, students, and the school staff, the patron cake was cut by Priest Srđan Ćosić, the parish priest of our local church of Saint Tryphon.
Following the welcoming speech by the school director, Katarina Stjepanović, in which she reminded everyone of the most important human values and the path of Saint Sava, younger grade students and members of the drama section performed. Under the guidance of teacher Natasha Jovanović, they presented a dramatic-recitation portrayal of Saint Sava and his significance. Then, older grade students, under the direction of Serbian language teacher Dubravka Jeremić, performed a play titled "In Search of Saint Sava." The choir of older grades, led by music teacher Gordana Popović, added to the overall solemnity of the event. The program was hosted by student Lara Milenković 6/4.
