As part of the celebration of World Children's Day, the school psychologist organized a debate with members of the Peer Team on the topic 'Boys and Girls - Pros and Cons.' The idea was to connect the previously marked Girls' Day and Boys' Day through this activity, both currently being commemorated. The importance of tolerance and gender equality was particularly emphasized.
Members of the Peer Team, along with psychologist Branka Mitrović Josipović, who organized the debate, had the opportunity to present their arguments, practice this form of presentation, and enhance their critical thinking.
• 'Who is more intelligent?'
• 'Who is emotionally more mature?'
• 'Who excels more in sports?'
Following the debate, attending students voted and assessed that girls were more successful in presenting their arguments. However, as highlighted by Ilija Veselinović from class 8/3 and a member of the 'boys' team,' each individual should be regarded as a specific individual regardless of their gender.
Other participants in the debate included Andrej Samardžić from class 7/2 (boys' team) and Una Mihajlović and Tara Đinđić from classes 7/1 and 7/3, respectively, representing the girls.
The debate was attended by students from class 8/3 with their form teacher Aleksandra Đorđević and Serbian language teacher Jasna Rikert Stevanović.
