Music Culture in II/4

On Monday, April 22, 2024, as part of mentorship activities, teacher Jelena Đorđević conducted a music class for II/4. On this occasion, they worked on the folk song "I Planted Watermelons".

At the beginning of the class, teacher Jelena played parts of songs on the piano that the students had previously worked on, and their task was to recognize and sing the given songs. After vocal warm-ups, they proceeded to work on a new folk song - "I Planted Watermelons" using the ear-training method. Once they mastered the singing, they also incorporated dance, so by the end of the class, they had created a complete choreography. Since the class took place in the music room, the students had the opportunity to perform the choreography on stage.

Considering the unusual setting, as well as singing, listening, and dancing to live music, it can be said that this class was more than interesting for the students.
